NORRIS BUILDERS IS A CERTIFIED GREEN BUILDER
Norris Builders has built the first Energy Star Certified GREEN Built home in Avon Lake

Darryl Norris is in the business of building GREEN. His company, Norris Builders, is a family owned and operated business specializing in custom homes in great communities. Their latest project has moved the company forward by turning them into an Energy Star Certified GREEN Builder. That involved attending meetings regarding Energy Star Certification and the GREEN Building Initiative.

“I realized that I was already Building GREEN Homes, and I just needed to have them Certified,” said Norris. The necessary paperwork was completed and the testing began.

The first home tested was the new Model home located in Centennial Estates at 169 Centennial Drive, Avon Lake. This home received a 5+ energy star rating and a silver rating for the GREEN Build process. The 5+ energy star rating is the highest rating you can receive.

Past customers of Norris Builders have asked about having a GREEN home built, and now they can offer clients the GREEN Build Energy Star Certification with every standard building process.

Bill Patrick, Certified Energy Rater, performed the test on the model home.

“Most homes don’t pass the first time but their house did,” said Patrick, “This is a very well-built home.”

Norris Builders wants to enhance the comfort of living for home owners while protecting the future of the environment.
